I especially like the lighting I set up for this scene. I think it really highlights the beautiful set, and also lends an exciting and mysterious atmosphere to the scene. Very "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea," don't you think?
This scene actually consists of THREE separate elements. I first shot the interior of the sub and the puppets, then I shot the sea monster you see through the window on blue screen. Finally, I shot the water you see racing by. In post-production, the effects people then "sandwiched" the three shots together (the interior of the sub, the sea monster, and the rushing water) to create the finished piece as you see it here!
